JiaFi Terms of Service

Using JiaFi means you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully to understand the rights and obligations on both sides.

Last updated: 2026-09-27 · Version v7

1. What the service is

JiaFi is provided by the developer named on its App Store listing (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at support@jiafi.app.

JiaFi (家Fi) provides a balance-sheet and financial-health tool for families, including ledger records, an asset-allocation view, debt management, and retirement and financial-goal projections.

2. What this service explicitly is not

So that there is no misunderstanding, please be clear about what this service is and where its boundaries lie:

3. Accounts and acceptable use

3.1 Use without registering

You can use this service without registering at all. In that case, all of your financial data is stored encrypted on your own device only.

3.2 Registering and syncing

Signing in with a Google or Apple account exists to enable cross-device cloud sync and family sharing. You must be at least 18 years old, or use the service with the consent of your legal guardian.

3.3 Account security

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials safe. Any action carried out through your account is presumed to have been carried out by you.

3.4 Authorising family sharing

Inviting a family member into the same ledger authorises that person to see and edit everything in it. Each family member needs their own JiaFi account: you send an invitation, they sign in, and they join from their own device. Family seats are JiaFi's own membership, not Apple Family Sharing — a subscription bought on one Apple ID is not shared with that Apple ID's family group. Invitation links are single-use and time-limited, so please make sure you are sending one to the right person. To end the sharing, you can remove that member from the member list in the app at any time.

4. Your data is yours (data ownership)

5. Intellectual property and use restrictions

6. Fees and subscriptions

The core of JiaFi is free. Every month you have already recorded stays readable and editable, the current month can always be settled, and a complete export of your own data is always available to you — none of that depends on paying us. What a paid plan buys is the work the app keeps doing on your behalf.

6.1 Plans and prices

Only monthly subscriptions are offered at this time; we may add an annual plan later, and if we do it will be shown here and in the App Store before you can buy it. Subscriptions are sold only through Apple's App Store, from inside the iOS app. The web version is available to paid members but does not sell subscriptions: buy on your iPhone, sign in on the web with the same account, and the paid plan applies there as well. Prices are shown in New Taiwan dollars and include any tax the App Store collects on our behalf. The price you actually pay, in your own currency, is the one the App Store shows you on the confirmation screen before you buy — that screen, not this page, is the authoritative figure for your purchase.

6.2 Free trial, automatic renewal, and when we charge you

6.3 How to cancel

You can cancel at any time, and cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for — you keep the paid features until then, and we do not take a further payment.

Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription, and neither does deleting your JiaFi account: the subscription lives with the Apple ID that bought it, so it has to be cancelled there.

6.4 Refunds

Apple is the seller of record for every purchase made inside the app, so refunds are handled by Apple under its own policy, not by us. You can submit a refund request at reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple decides each request itself, and we cannot issue a refund — partial or full — on Apple's behalf. If Apple declines a refund, we have no way to reverse that decision — but tell us at support@jiafi.app anyway, because a refused refund usually means something in the product disappointed you and we want to know what.

6.5 Price changes

If we change the price of a plan, the new price applies to your renewals only after the App Store has notified you and, where Apple requires it, obtained your consent. We will never turn a feature you already have for free into an automatic charge without your agreement, and we will never start charging an existing subscriber more without the store's notice reaching you first.

6.6 What happens when a subscription ends

When a paid plan lapses — whether you cancelled it, the payment failed, or the trial ended without converting — your account returns to the free plan. Your data is not deleted, locked, or held to ransom. Every month already in your ledger stays readable and editable, the current month can still be settled, and the full export and the password-protected backup file stay available. What stops is what the paid plan does for you: cloud sync across your devices and on the web (your ledger stays complete on the device you are using), batch market-price updates, the full loan schedule, opening more than three settled months or ten accounts, and the additional family seats.

7. Limitation of liability

7.1 Service availability

We do our utmost to keep the system highly available and running smoothly, but routine maintenance, upgrades or technical circumstances beyond our control may interrupt or alter the service temporarily. We will restore it as quickly as we can.

7.2 Keeping your own backups

Alongside the cloud sync and restore points the system provides, we recommend that you make regular use of the app's built-in export function to keep your own offline backups, so that you retain the fullest possible control over your personal financial data.

7.3 Limitation of damages

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, this service (including but not limited to investment losses, lost profits or loss of data).

8. Termination

9. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). For any dispute arising out of these terms or this service, both parties agree that the Taiwan Taipei District Court shall be the court of first instance.
